Our Scholarship Mission
The Marco Police Foundation is a civic-minded charitable organization whose goal is to build strong relationships within the Marco Island community and to support the Marco Island Police officers. Through our fundraising we provide scholarship funding for the officers and their children to continue their education.
Since the Fall of 2020 through the Spring this coming year of 2023 The Marco Police Foundation has provided $94,000.00 in Scholarship money to fulfil our mission
SCHOLARSHIP CHECKS TO MIPD OFFICERS
On Saturday, August 26, 2023 The Marco Police Foundation distributed $40,000.00 in Scholarship checks to members of the Marco Island Police Department Police and their children.
These Scholarships are made possible through the contributions made to the Marco Police Foundation due to Fundraisers and the generous donations from members of the Marco Island Community and Marco Island charitable organizations.
President Michael Hook, and Director Bill Miller Scholarship Chair presented the checks to Police Officer Melanie Lopez and Police Officer Hans Schmid with Chief Tracy Frazzano present. The recipients were recognized at the August Summer Barbeque at St. Mark’s Parish Hall.

On Wednesday, June 7,, 2023 The Marco Police Foundation distributed $10,500.00 in Scholarship checks to members of the Marco Island Police Department Police and their children.
These Scholarships are made possible through the contributions made to the Marco Police Foundation due to Fundraisers and the generous donations from members of the Marco Island Community and Marco Island charitable organizations.
Past President Vernon Geberth, and Director/Secretary William Morris and First Vice President Bob Myslivec presented the checks on behalf of the Foundation. The recipients were recognized at the June Police Foundation Meeting.

On Wednesday, December 5, 2022 The Marco Police Foundation distributed $28,500.00 in Scholarship checks to members of the Marco Island Police Department Police and their children.
These Scholarships are made possible through the contributions made to the Marco Police Foundation due to Fundraisers and the generous donations from members of the Marco Island Community and Marco Island charitable organizations.
President Vernon Geberth had some of the recipients recognized at the December Police Foundation Meeting. Sgt. Hector Diaz and officers Alan Brown and David Baer were working.
