Our Mission
Since 2001, the Marco Police Foundation has been a community-based, non-political, civic-minded, charitable organization that supports the Marco Island Police Department (MIPD) by providing continuing education scholarships, encouraging citizen participation in maintaining community safety, and assisting with Neighborhood Watch, traffic and crowd control programs.

Supporting Those Keeping Us Safe
- Provide continuing education scholarships to MIPD officers, other MIPD personnel and MIPD families
- Direct financial assistance to officers and department employees in times of crisis
- Provide MIPD officers with the resources they need to better protect our community
Enhancing Community Safety
- Host community safety programs such as Neighborhood Watch, as well as traffic and crowd control assistance at major island events
- Encourage and promote citizen participation in maintaining community safety
- We are open to all businesses, organizations and citizens of Marco Island
Provide Recognition
- Honor our MIPD officers at semi-annual lunches
- Recognize an MIPD officer who has demonstrated exemplary service each year as our Officer of the Year
- Build strong relationships in the Marco Island community and develop a membership base to recognize and support the MIPD
